Biography of Tony Rogers
Bro. Tony was 8 years old, when he gave his heart to the Lord, in Oakhurst, Ok. His
family was not aware of what God was about to start in the Rogers household. At 8
years old, he was the song leader at the Oakhurst Assembly. At 13 , while at the
altar praying for his brothers and sisters to come to God, he was filled with the
Holyghost and spoke in tongues. Two years later he awoke early in the morning and his bedroom was illuminated with brightness and he
heard the audible voice of God speak "Preach my gospel and I'll save your
house!" Brother Tony's mother was the only one in his family who went to church with him at the time, as brother Tony began to preach,one by one, the family members began to surrender to Christ.
Tony at age 19, while driving home from work here in Tulsa, he heard the audible voice of God for the second time. It sounded as it came from the back seat, he turned around and saw no one, but burst in to tears as he drove to his pastors home. Pastor Tolbert prayed for him, and told him to obey God.The words he heard from his back seat were simply, "Tony will you go?" Two weeks later Bro Tony quit his job and went full time into the evangelistic field. With no money, gas, or a place to sleep, he considered it not a problem with God on his side. He slept in his car and began holding revivals from state to state God provided, and Bro Tony preached. The Lord blessed him to step out by faith and purchase his first greyhound bus, his brothers and sisters quit their jobs to travel with him. Ass time went by each one of his brother's and sisters began their own ministries.
Brother Tony met Sister Carolyn in Marville, Tn in 1985, In 1987 they married and
together they traveled and worked for the Lord. In 1990, with the 1955 scenic cruiser worn out, they purchased the second
bus. Over the next 13 years they continued
across many states,across mountains and across deserts, still praising God, and
still loving God.The Lord blessed again in 2000 and they purchased the third vehicle
to travel in , a nice, motor home with all the comforts, one they didn't have to
convert. God blessed brother Tony with four gospel tents over the years,he put them up
many times, many places. In 1996 during his 15th annual July camp meeting the tent
was up in west Tulsa for a 3 week revival, when tornado winds came through and
picked the tent up into the air and blew it across the highway. Bro Tony wanted
to get something more stable, so God made a way to purchase the property and to
build a church, right there on that very spot. Holy Ground Evangelistic Center was born and ever since has been on a mission for God.
Many people have been touched by the ministry of this man of God. Many saved, healed, delivered, and set free and Bro Tony always gives God the glory, for it is truly a place where the fire never goes out.
